 Please light a candle for my mother's cat Smudge Hello, if you could please light a candle for my childhood cat Smudge, that would be really nice. He was 16.5 and has been in failing health for a few years (trouble walking, all his teeth were pulled over the years due to gingivitis, diabetes), but last week he stopped eating and would not start again, even with an appetite stimulation pill and she made the hard decision to help him go to the bridge today. I am just glad that I was able to drive down to help her take him there and to say goodbye.
