    Default Subscription notification not working

    I am not getting subscription email notifications - this started after the recent PV shutdown for updates. I checked my User CP and it is still listed for instant notification, but I haven't been getting the emails and they are not caught in any sort of junk filter.

    Help?

    I'm bumping this up so I don't have to keep posting about it on the "Blue and Green Bones" thread.... since the problem has not resolved (almost 2 weeks now!! -very frustrating!!) I went ahead and changed my email address to see if that would help. I'm still not getting any subscribed thread emails, but it may be too early to tell.... I will update this again if one finally comes through on the new email address.

    OOoo! Ooo! OOooo!!!! I GOT ONE! I FINALLY GOT A SUBSCRIBED THREAD EMAIL! Hooray!
    It must be something with my att email account.... I don't have any blocks on it though and I was getting the emails regularly until the PV changes. I might try changing it back to my preferred email in a day or two and see if I stop getting the emails again.

    Great! Glad to see it works again :)

    One thing to try is make sure "[email protected]" is on your email white list - (i.e. in Gmail or whatever that would mean clicking clicking an email from [email protected] and selecting it as "Not Spam")

    I'm glad I'm getting the emails through a different email address, but it is not my preferred email to use for PV... so if you guys could keep working to solve this problem I would appreciate it!!! I would much rather use my att.net account to receive PV mail.

    I'm still not getting any instant e mail notifications. Is there something I should do on this end?
    Joanne and my rescue Pug, Buffy, Willow, my young Pug and Jasmine, my tiny rescue Boston Terrier. Also at the Bridge waiting for friends are my wonderful rescue Phoebe Pug and Josie, the Boston Terrier and now as of May 9, 2005, my most precious dog of all, sweet Lulu Pug. I miss all three of you but now you are together again, young, healthy, happy. Sleep well girls. Annie at the Bridge, 1999 to 2007 (I miss you all).

    Do you have a different email address you can use?

    You can change your email preference in the user CP > edit email and password. Just beware that Amy (Wonka & Nilla) was unable to use PV until she received the change of email confirmation email which took several hours.

    BTW, are you using an AT&T email address?

    No, I don't use AT&T. I do have a gmail address I could use but I think I'll wait on that and see if something good happens so I'll start getting them again......Thanks for the info.

    Just an update - We worked tonight to make a change which >may< solve some of these problems (it's difficult to know what exactly is causing this problem as it is only affecting some users). Basically, we changed the IP address returned when lookups are performed on the @pugvillage.com domain. It will take between 24-48 hrs for the DNS changes to propagate, meaning we should hopefully start to see some positive effects from the change come Friday night.

    Just thought I would update this to tell you it still isn't working on my att.net email account. I tried to change it back today and I never received the email for verification so I couldn't complete the address change, I also couldn't access Village Lounge or even this thread! So, I changed it back to the Gmail account and the verification email arrived very quickly and I was able to log back in. SOoooooooo, I still can't use my prefered email account for PV and the IP address change didn't seem to help with this problem.
