So far as I can tell, if you have a power glitch and have to log back on--if you can't find your password then there is no way to ask the site to send a password or hook you up with the one you can't find.

I think they can re-set the password for you, then you have to manually change it after you get your new password. that's what happens on the site I admin.

Went back and looked, really don't see a way to contact an admin or mod to tell them you need your password.

I've no idea - I hope the admins can address this for you.

However, I do wonder whether you get a pop up box if you enter an incorrect password which then enables you to get the password sent. That has happened to me on a few sites.

morning Ellen!!! I have had this happen and I went to thehelp desk and from there requested help..... my com. shuts down on a regular bases...and the same happens to me...

How are you posting this if you don't have your password? It seems you are logged in fine.

We don't have access to determine what your passwords are.

We can send you a password reminder e-mail from the control panel that you can receive to your e-mail account on file.

If someone needs a password reset here, we also can reset it to a generic password, e-mail you back, and then you can reset it to what you want via the UserCP.

Their is a Contact Us button at the bottom of every page that goes to the webmasters (Admins).

Someone pointed out to me privately, that my response was a bit snarky... It was not intended to.

I was more confused... you were asking how to log in here and retrieve a password, yet you were posting... So I thought maybe you were either getting some sort of errors that might make you think you needed to log in, or I was missing the point of the question totally.

Or I was digging to see if you were looking for an answer for this for some other type of website, or online retailer, etc.

The post didn't state that you had figured it out. But someone e-mailed me that you did, so that is good.

Sorry if the response seemed "snarky"... wasn't intended to be.

The forgotten PW link is a bit hard to find in the middle of a paragraph of text only after a failed attempt to log in.
I agree that it should be a bit more prominant in the initial log-in area.
