new posts notification

Has anyone relied on the 'green' bone to indicate new posts, never see a green bone, and then find new posts in the topic? I've been seeing this off and on, and it seems to be in the prayers, paws to remember, and some of the topics below the pug life. Been trying to find a common reason, but I can't spot one.

Hmmmm...... I never noticed this. I always just hit "New Posts" up at the top and rarely even look at the color of the bones.

I just look the new posts also.

I just use the "button" at the top ... never paid much attention to the bones and have no idea what the colors mean. Sorry, I guess I am no help, but you have me curious now.
