My sweet old man Curly, at the rainbow bridge. We miss that boy!
I also bought raffle tickets for these, but if I don't win, I'm ordering one for Thurston. (Of course, now it's 74 outside and what he really needs is an AC Suit!).
Your sweaters are lovely! As a fellow knitter, I know how time-consuming knitting can be - don't sell yourself short with your pricing!

Wow, I didn't think that shipping would be so hard to figure out! And I think Canada Post is weird.
A dog sweater, because of it's bulkiness, is not particularly cheap to mail, despite the fact that it weighs so little. It is all in the height.
Unless I can figure out how to compress the sweater so that it is less than 0.79 inches "tall" (anyone have one of those gadgets that sucks the air out of a bag?), to mail one sweater to the US is $6.50. To mail 2-3 sweaters is $8.50. It looks as if I could mail 1 sweater to England or to Australia for $8.00 (I just had them weigh it and figure out a bunch of random places to get a sense of cost).
The odd part of it? To mail 1 sweater to Toronto (which is 1 hour from here!) would also cost $8.00!
Yup, I could mail a sweater to Alaska for less than Toronto. Or to Australia for the same price as Toronto! And hence the reason that I think Canada Post is weird.

I updated my original post, but in case people just go to the end of this thread, I just wanted to let people know that with the two sweaters that I am making for the raffle and the orders that I have received so far, any new orders placed after today aren't going to be started until closer to the end of March.![]()
