Welcome

To PugVillage.com, a web site dedicated to Pugs and the people owned by them.

PugVillage Philosophy:

The PugVillage is committed to the education of Pug owners past, present and future. Our goal is to build an expansive web site containing useful information that will help Pug owners, and aspiring Pug owners to have great experiences with their Pugs.

The information you see presented throughout this site is a variety of facts, experiential wisdom and opinion. The PugVillage recognizes that our visitors will find disagreement with at least some of what is presented here, and because of this we feel it is important to state our philosophy.

You will see articles here that may cause controversy or articles with which you disagree. We urge our visitors to read all the articles within PugVillage.com with our philosophy in mind…Our philosophy is not to cast judgement on any single individual, breeder, business, or industry, but rather to provide readers with useful information.

If you intend to purchase a Pug, PugVillage.com recommends you do so only from a reputable breeder. To that end this site has dedicated a significant amount of information to use as a guide in this endeavor. PugVillage.com does not endorse nor do we recommend purchasing your Pug from pet shops, home breeders, amateur breeders, backyard breeders or puppy mills.

PugVillage.com also strongly urges people interested in having a Pug in their lives to consider adopting a Pug either through Pug Rescue or from an animal shelter. These are Pugs already living, and in need of good, loving and appropriate homes.

As you read our site, we hope you’ll take notice that our preferred method of Pug Advocacy is through quiet education. While PugVillage.com is strongly opposed to disreputable breeders, puppy mills and irresponsible breeding practices, it is our belief that the most effective means of educating people on these issues is to present the facts in a reasoned and sensible manner.

It is not our job to tell people what to do, what to think or what to feel. As advocates of the Pug breed however, we do believe it is our mission to provide our readers with information we hope will result in benefiting the Pug breed.
