    Default Choking on food

Bugsy our 10 year old pug gobbles his food down so fast he chokes after each meal. I have bought the bowl with three sections to help him eat slower. This does not work. I feed small bites as the larger pieces reall cause issues. Any suggestions??

How about a mini-muffin tin, and watering down the food?

Try putting enough water in that his food floats. It worked with Kelev...didn't work with Solo.

He started to gobble and almost died choking once....Since that was the second time in a short period....I started to grind his food and make it soupy like a puppy!

My neighbor has this problem with his German Pointers and the Muffin Tin trick works for them.

A very large flat plate/dish(maybe a pizza pan) with some food tins inside so he has to eat around the obstacles. Or putting his food in an IQ Treat Ball and he has to work for it all!

that is good...glad he is better

I bought an anti gulp dish and that is what they are called and it works really good too
a simple solution too is to put a ball in the food dish with the food and that slows them down really fast too
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
