what I'm getting from this forum is that raw food is better I do that sometimes apart from cooked food with veges since I'm scared that there might be something up with the chickens or beef he seems happy always hungry but never loses weight so I take it he just likes food but if cooked food is bad would someone let me know

cooked food is not bad, but it does make the food different. A complete cooked meal will look different from a complete raw meal. Cooking makes some things more digestible and makes some types of nutrients more available for use by your dog's body, but destroys some others.

A good book, like this one:
DR. BECKER'S REAL FOOD FOR HEALTHY DOGS AND CATS 4TH EDITION - SIMPLE HOMEMADE FOOD - Health Care and Nutrition - Dogwise.com

Will be able to help you figure out how to make your pets' meals complete and wholesome. That specific book offers both cooked and raw options, and meets the AAFCO nutritional guidelines for dogs and cats.
