Our boy is 10 months old now. He's been on Nature's Recipe puppy kibble since day 1. When should we switch to an adult kibble and what brands do you recommend?

    Hi

I'd be guided by what it says on the food label, but probably the most important difference between puppy food and adult food apart from the higher calorie values is the calcium to phospherus ratio (which is far more important in large breed puppies). So unless you're getting concerned about him being overweight, there isn't really any great rush to move onto adult food.

As for what to change to, if he's doing well on Nature's recipe you could just continue with the adult version of that. If it's a grain free food, you may want to consider doing a bit of reading up on that and make your own mind up as to whether or not that is what you want to feed your dog long term.
