    WinkYour Dog Gear

    Hi.

As I "clean" my house, I have, um, certain "categories" (dog-agories, actually, but, well, I wanted you to know what the heck I was talking about!) of items... Y'know: clothes, tools, and Dog Gear.

Of course there are subcat/dogagories: underwear, pants, tops... electrical, plumbing, woodworking... and well: leashes, collars, outfits, more leashes, more collars (some for in darkness even), more outfits... and the dog stuff I want to MAKE for them...

SO, I'M ASKING YOU A QUESTION: In what room - in what format - how to you store your dog gear???

(I could not decide which section of the village to put this question... if it needs to move, please go ahead!)

Erm..... their leads and harnesses are on hooks, along with extra food supplies in the utility room. A few dog coats and the grooming gear in the sideboard and their box of balls in the conservatory. Their bowls, food, large soft toy box etc in a cupboard in the breakfast room. Extra dog coats in the cupboard under the stairs and spare dog beds, blankets, bag of toys to alternate etc in the basement. More toys and bones in the lounge. My bedroom has another toybox of soft toys and bones.......

So basically they've got stuff all over the house really! Lol!

Yes! Yes, yes, yes, YES! That's what I have too...

Baskets and plastic bins and Carabiners on hooks... but I really do NOT have the SPACE to keep all this STUFF!! (And my things do not look as clean as yours!)

This is what I have left after moving in the tiny house . We do go through it regularly and donate items. Clean ? The dog toys can get pretty funky and we toss them . Bruno only likes to kill the squeakers.

You're so very organized! Heidi's harness & leash are on an end table over by the door. Her food & cat's food are in a cupboard in the kitchen. Her brushes & shampoo & conditioner are in a cupboard out in the laundry room and her toys, well, they're all over the place!

Otis's stuff is in random places stored around the house also. And yes toys strewn about the living room. I put them away and he digs them all back out.

    Alrighty-then!

I just spent an hour reformatting my leash storage... I have 18 "spares" plus 4 retractables (which I confess to using when NO ONE wants to go out, but they are willing to out the front door to the "We HAVE to pee over THAT" zone in the yard near the street). This allows me to keep the three I regularly grab in the "by the front door" space.

I don't think I can go to confessional here about dog COLLARS, and dog COATS, and dog HARNESSES (which I just got one of brand new for the new girl - after all: she's bigger than the others and the TWO hand-me-ups were not enough when I saw the offer of a RED one in her size!)

Also "by the door" are a few baseball caps, two headlamps, 4 hand-carry flashlights, 4 reflecting collars plus one which lights up (and is the one I really use).... and poop bags, car keys, house keys, shed key, and coins from my pockets. And WAIT: of course: two semi-pocketable plastic containers of kibble!

    Sigh.

There's still a bucketful (and more) of "Training tools" to be addressed (clickers, treat pouches - one really needs to be tossed), collar tabs for when we do agility classes, etc), but if I start shifting those around everyone (all three dogs) will wake up and get all excited... so I am going to take a break myself!

And I "sorted" (collected in one place) my 40+ Carabiners.. I love them - all different sizes, some shape variations... but just the click and snap of them is so convenient in so many ways!
