Default My first Pug, I'm in love :)

A few months ago a friend of mine who volunteers at a local shelter texted me about a sweet little pug who had been stuck there for almost two months. She had no known behavioral problems and was found wandering around in AZ which can get very VERY hot , she seemed shy in her kennel and people would always pass her by. Then when she would get taken out she would spaz and just run run run which scared more people off. Well their loss was my gain. I went to check it out as I have fostered dogs in the past and have two older boys (a terrier mix and a corgi) who I adopted after being in abusive home. When I went to the pound to see my new pug she was just as I had been told a spaz, but after I sat with her a few minutes she calmed dow, and I realized she & I were just alike shy at times and spaztic at times. I was sold and couldn't bear to let them put her back in a kennel so I adopted her. I named her Frankie after the pug in the Men in Black movies Frank , even though she's a black pug. I must say she fits in well with her new brothers especially the terrier Scruffy and has turned out to be one of the best dogs I've ever had. The sweetest girl in the world. I decided to join this site after I went to google to make sure blueberries were ok for her after I dropped a box in the kitchen and she went nuts gobbling them up before I could bend down to get them. Anyhow now a super proud pug mommy I just wanted to share my journey with Franki and to anyone thinking of adopting I highly recommend a pug!

She already has, I suffer from terrible migraines and she stays with me through the worst of them and sleeps right on my feet. Thank you for the kind words. - Rae & Frankie
