New owner of a 8 week black pug

Fellow Pug Owners,
Hello there. My mother recently purchased our 4 year old a black male pug puppy. He is a very high energy puppy! We are truly enjoying him and all of his quirks. I am just a little out of my element. I have always had cats. At the moment we have a young cat who we are hoping will someday accept Luke (our new puppy).
Ok so my question is How can I stop this puppy from biting. I understand that he is young and it is normal but his little teeth are like knives and it is starting to hurt! I have tried to give him toys when he starts to nip but he always ends up back in my lap biting me. Thanks so much!

Hello & to the village! So glad you found us! Be consistent with giving him a chew toy each time he tries to bite you and stop the play when he is biting. Can't wait to see pics!

My Olivia is 19wks and we are STILL working on the biting. Bully sticks have helped us a ton!
