    Default First time pug owner!

    Hi Everyone!

This is my first time owning a pug, and I have a gorgeous 16week old fawn girl called Maggie! Just curious, she weighs 2.7kg, am I on the right tracks, or is she a bit lean?
She's in her 5th week of puppy training, so far so good!!

    Thank you,
    Natalie

The advice I was given by a vet is that around that age they should be around 3-3.5kg-ish so shes not that far out really! Maybe see a specialist if you're concerned, but if she seems healthy then I wouldn't worry :)

Yea, it doesn't sound too far off.

60g of food sounds right (I think that's roughly what Will was on at that age) It depends on what food she's on I guess. As a very rough guide I look at what the manufacturer suggests and go start with 10% less (they always suggest more than is needed!) Then I watch Will's waist and if it starts to disappear we reduce again!lol.
