    Hi!

If you've got a shady area outside mine loved playing with a washing up bowl full of water and a plastic scrubbing brush lol! Discovered that when I'd put a bowl of clean water with the brush in to give the garden chairs a quick wash over. Kept her amused for ages!

Indoors my home is normally fairly cool, but with the extremes of temperature the past days I bought a tower cooling fan for the lounge that is brilliant. My youngest pug is 10 weeks old tomorrow so it's been far too hot for him to be outside for more than a quick wee since Friday.

Hope to see a photo of your baby soon!

Welcome from another Essex Girl. :-)

My old boy is fine outside lying on the patio in the shade. The stones keep him reasonably cool. It must be in the shade, though, and you have to watch pugs as they love lying in the sun and do not always have the sense to move if they are overheating.

Some pugs love paddling pools so you could try one. Others hate them. Frozen treats can be good (small frozen slices of banana, say, or some chicken broth frozen into an ice cube).

Good question. Any temps approaching 80 degrees F are too hot for a pug, so brief outings in cooler temps and inside play are best. Congrats on your new baby, welcome to the Village, and stay cool!
