Hello, all. I'm writing tonight with a broken heart, as I had to say goodbye to my 11 year old pug/chihuahua mix, Clarabelle, today due to Congestive Heart Failure and Collapsing Trachea. She fought for the last three years but took a turn yesterday and could no longer eat. She is free from her suffering but I am so lonely without my little buddy. I'm sure I will adopt again (I rescued her in 2012), but for now I would love to get involved as a volunteer with pug rescue. I have an MBA and 21 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, and 16 years as an actress and singer in LA. I retired and moved to Tucson in 2017. I have a flexible schedule (I work part-time) and transportation and a boundless love of pugs! Please contact me if I can help with tranportation, outreach, promotions, etc. I am looking forward to meeting some new friends and getting involved helping pugs!
    Best, Jennie Floyd

    Hi there .
    Sorry for your loss.

Welcome to PV we are glad you found your way here .

I am sure a member will come along with informations on Pug rescues in your area .

I am a supporter for Pugs for Pinky
    https://www.facebook.com/PugsForPinky/

One of our members here Chris Sollers is a volunteer there . You may want to message him to get information on how you can help .

With COVID 19 many rescues have put a hold on much of the usual activities and unfortunately many events got canceled .

There is also Lisa who has been very helpful here with her knowledge of taking care of older and sick Pugs .

She runs a non profit in CA

Hello Jennie and welcome to PugVillage. So sorry about your Clarabelle. I hope you find a rescue to volunteer with or a way to help pugs in need. I'm sure Clarabelle would be proud and happy that you are channeling your grief into helping other dogs.

Hi & I'm sorry for your loss & I'm sure that after you've had time to heal Clarabelle will "have a paw" in sending a new little special someone your way! I agree with Kata (GordonBrunoPugMom) that Pugs for Pinky or Rusty Pug Retirement Ranch would be very worthy causes.
