    Default Hello beautiful pug people

Hi everyone my name is Mary I have an 8 year old black pug named Chumlee, he is my world. He is my second pug, I’m looking forward to meeting lots of pug mad people like myself.

Unfortunately my baby has developed a serious jaw issue and I’m devastated, he can hardly open his mouth, the vet took X-ray was told he has thickened jaw bones and has sent X-ray off for more advice, he can still eat but sometimes gets it stuck and has trouble moving it. Please let me know if anyone has had anything like this happen to their baby I’m at a loss of what to do.

Looking forward to hearing from lots of beautiful pug people

years ago, we had a pug develop problems with his jaw opening and shutting, the answer then was to wet down his food to a gruel and feed him by hand-----a long and messy summer but he recovered full use of the jaw, and it was written off as a sprain---let us know how you and your little man are doing, please

    Welcome to PugVillage!
I'm sorry that Chumlee is having jaw problems. I haven't heard of an issue like this, but hopefully someone will have advice for you. I hope the vet is able to get a second opinion or advice from a colleague and start a treatment plan for Chumlee.

    Hi!

I haven’t come across anything like this either - hoping Chumlee is better soon!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and kind words, I’m trying to get some pics together, I TrueDepth to upload a profile picture but it’s too big so have got to find a program to shrink it so I can put it on.

I just want Monday to be here so I can go back to vets, will post as soon as I can after.
