My mom turned 96 on Fri. She has been in hospice for maybe 3 wks now or more.....Her body is giving out and she's in a LOT of pain. When she's not doped up being comfortable, her mind is there. The problem is that they have not been able to keep her comfortable!!! She's on a fentanyl patch and was getting morphine when asked for. By the time she asks.....she's in terrible pain already! Hospice has finally finally okayed giving it to her every 3 hrs with no request! Hopefully that will work!!!!
This is NOT how a life well lived should end!!!
Please see her comfortable!
Diane I'm praying for both you and your mom. I'm so very sorry

The hospice nurse just left a bit ago after spending 8 hours with her. They think with getting meds every 4 hours...even when she's out of it....will help! Nurse will be back tomorrow AM!
My sister went and she's resting comfortably! Hopefully, she'll have a peaceful night!!
Thank you all!
Praying that a solution can be found to keep her comfortable, she is lucky to have good care and loving daughters.
