I was reading some stories and I have heard that people use liquid life aid, if a puppy isn't sucking off mom. Has anyone used this? What do you think of it? Also is it really a life saver, and should I have it on hand? My pug should be giving birth around new years!

Also, where would I buy it?

Have your vet teach you how to tube feed. If you do it right......all is good. WRong and you have a dead puppy! Have had to do this more times than I wanted and all puppies lived nice lives! Bottle feeding you risk aspirated pneuomina!
I always have goats milk around.
You can also put honey on the teat...and see if that helps. The way to find out if a puppy can suck is to put your pinky in their mouth and see if they try to suckle!
There are lots of places to read on the net.....better get busy!!!! Have you talked to your vet??? I always do c sections! Is there someone around you that has had pups before and can mentor you??

I don't really have anyone around that's had puppies before but my cousin is a vet. What does the honey do on the teat? - will the puppies try to suck right off from birth even if its just your pinky?

If your going to use honey, use natural raw honey from a health food store, none of the grocery store garbage.
