    Default Poor Ben

    As you know...I breed!

Well.....Callie went to visit Aunt Connie and had stopped bleeding so came home! Then started to discharge again. That's an odor for Ben! I did take her in for a progesterone test as in dogs, they can bleed for a month...not ovulate....stop...and ovulate when they start again! Was told she's out and it's safe here! She's almost out of her panties!!!! YES!

Stormy has been spotting! Don't know when to count the first day.......so took her in today for testing. She's bleeding a bit harder. Will get results tomorrow. Ben is interested but not very and she's not interested at all! When she starts to smell good, she'll have to be separated as the plan is to breed her....IF it all works out. Very complicated! Anyway......Ben is starting to sniff.....so it'll drive him nuts!

IF she's bred, will have to start separating dogs here for at least 2 wks if not longer! NOT fun! Sad for Storm...frustrating for Ben!!!

I'm hoping that this will settle her a bit more so that I can show her....and that I'll have a pup that I bred myself to bring into the ring again...and re start Shayna Pugs! If not this time..next!

I do hate breeding, so you'll hear a lot of worrying if the deed is done!

Sounds like quite the revolving doors but it would be so nice for you to have your own line again. Good luck with all the shuffling around.

Sounds way too involved for me, I hope it works out for you.

Why do you separate them after they breed.? I hope all goes as planned because I can't wait to have all the updates during Stormy's pregnancy.

IF she's bred, it will be to a dog in a different state. Once she is bred, she will still have an odor til she is totally out of heat! She will only be receptive to a male for a certain amount of time...some of it might be after she's bred. The other reason is that it isnt fair to Ben to have her smelling like that! Very frustrating for him!

I will then bathe her and put them all together again!
