    Default It's been a LONG 3 days!!

Saturday, Izzy spotted. Off to vet to check heartbeats! All was good! Progesterone has to be below 2 to have babies safely! She was at 4.7 and heartbeats looked good!

Sunday afternoon, she started to act like she might be getting ready. So I watched. A friend came over and about 9:30, we headed to the vet who is an hour away. Waited there as she wasn't in distress. When vet saw her and checked her thought maybe more time since section wasn't scheduled til Tuesday. He, too, did a progesterone test.....0.8. So......off to get things set! Babies were born about 1:30 AM yesterday. Didn't get home til 6 AM! Got them fed and friend left. She did come back in the afternoon! Bless her heart! Would have been awful to be alone all that time!

Ronda, co owner got in last night...I got 5 hrs sleep!!!

We have 7 babies!!!! 3 fawn boys, 2 fawn girls, a black boy and a black girl!!! They were huge!!!! Smallest one was 5 oz...others 7oz-8.5 oz!!!

Izzy is doing great!! Eating like there's no tomorrow! (had been really picky but really no room for food with all those babies). Starting to like her babies! Babies doing well so far!!!!

    A wonderful report!

A Brussels Griffon breeder I am getting to know just had a litter of 7 as well! EEK! Those poor moms!!

So glad everything is going well. The babies are precious! Well done, Izzy. Praying they continue to thrive and Mom recovers with no complications.
