What a delightful surprise...thank you all for thinking of us! Chelsea is continuing to respond well to the compounded Cyclosporine 75mg (2x/day). She's had a couple small episodes with seizure-like activity the last few months, which could also be tied to her hypothyroid disorder. All things considered, she seems to be doing well. It's so hard to believe that she's 12 1/2 years old now...especially considering where she was 5 years ago! I'll never forgot the words of her neurologist who said "Most dogs at the stage of Chelsea's disease whould have been dead by now"...chilling. I am grateful for every single day I have this sweet girl.
Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
Love and a million hugs,
Suzanne & Chelsea ❤️

We never touch people so lightly that we don't leave a trace.
What an amazing journey you and Chelsea have shared, quodos to you both.
One of my senior rescue pugs started having seizures about 2 yrs ago. Many tests, and vets just could not find a definitive answer. He was put on zonisamide, and that seemed to help the severity of the episodes, but the frequency seemed to stay at about 1-2 per wk.
Hubby was researching natural treatments online and found Nuvet. We added this to his diet and since Dec 20/14 he has been completely seizure free. About a month after we put him on the Nuvet, we took him off the zonisamide over a 2 wk period, and he has not had a seizure, or a seizure med since then.
MIght be worth a try, many testimonies similar to mine online
