I'm wondering if the breeder was just preparing you for the fact that Pugs do have sensitive digestive tracts. We have to watch Joy like a hawk about eating anything she can get her mouth on. (just yesterday, she inhaled a tissue before I could get to her! She was sucking it down like a piece of spaghetti!) Mu also has a very loose poop. I give them a bit of pumpkin every day and that keeps the stool more formed. They have only had "explosive" diarrhea if they were sick. I advise keeping a can of pure pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling) on had at all times in case of an emergency.

I agree with Kim. Wally has had a tricky tummy since day 1 and we have only found one food that doesn't make him feel funny. And the propensity for putting stuff in their mouth leads to all sorts of troubles. Pumpkin helps, as does plain yogurt.
