    Default Cone after neutering?

    We just got Pugsley fixed this morning, and he started licking/scratching/nibbling. How long should he wear the cone for?

    My vet didn't give Bo a cone for his neuter, I would say a day or so if he leaves his incision alone then he doesn't need one. He should heal fast.

    I think Si wore his for 2 days. It wasn't required by the vet, but was recommended if he started licking.

    I put baby onesies on mine. I put them on backwards, and the tail goes through where the crotch snaps. Just leave the center snap undone. Much more comfy than that awful cone.

    Papaya never cared for his neutering incision, never licked it neither he scratched it. We did get him one of those inflatable donuts just in case, but he can't reach those areas of his body anyway lol. The onesie idea is great, Papaya wears them as pjs in the winter :)
