Thanks Doug, We have always had a no house plant rule because when we had four cats, one or another would either poop, eat or dig the dirt out. But oustide is different, I never let Viv chew on a plant you just never know. I am going to give the list to my mom who takes her sometimes.

Wow, I knew about a bunch of them, but some I was shocked.

We had a kitty that we think had sight issues since she ate a Pointsettia.
I didn't even see that listed on the link though, did I miss it?

Since then we are very careful what plants came home, but I had no idea easter lilies were bad!

Thanks for the site! I just sent it to all my dog friends and printed some for those who don't have a computer. Thanks again!

I agree Leslie, I am moving it shortly and making it sticky for a bit so everyone can see it and save the link or print.

If you never change your mind, how can you be sure you have one?

OMG! Now I feel like such a baaaaaaad puggy mummy.
We have quite a few plants that appear on the list (both indoor and outdoor) and Henry has been known to chew on a leaf or two .
Thank God nothing serious has happened to him

Whoa, avocado?? Just the plant or the avocado itself? I've given Boris avocado before...now I guess I won't give it to him again!

    Lisa,
I did some checking (my vet and the University of Minnesota Vet Hospital, and the ASPCA .... plus several Internet sites) and the conclusion is that everything about the avocado (it's pit/seed/stone and it's leaves) are all considered toxic to animals.
