    Default Hector

    Hi,

I have a pug called Hector who I welcomed into my home in March. Since then we have had no issues (other than the fact that he's blind in one eye, which he's been since he was born). But lately he seems to be sleeping slot more and not eating as much as he used. Whenever I fed him he would be straight into his food and eat it all, but now he barely eats it at all. He turns one in January and he has been fed the same biscuits since he was about two months old (I got him when we was 6 weeks). I was just wondering if these were signs of illness or just getting older? (he also threw up twice last week, if that means anything)

Thank you for any help you can offer! I'd be extremely grateful !

    Thanks,

    Megan Kennedy

He eats all his food, I feed him twice a day and he eats it all, it just takes him a while and sometimes breakfast biscuits are still there when I go to give him dinner

hi Megan and welcome to you and Hector. I would get him to the vet for a checkup. He's still a puppy....he shouldn't be showing signs of just getting older.....he should be active and alert. I'd get him checked and also have bloodwork done. It could be something minor that can be fixed......don't wait....his behavior isn't normal for a 1 year old pug. Please keep us updated.

I agree. An exam, full blood panel and probably a urinalysis as well to rule out health issues are in order.

    Take care,
