Storm has been drooling since Monday. 1/2 pepcid and benadryl twice a day Monday and yesterday. Stopped over night both nights..... Ate this AM...then we couched it...Dry. Started moving around and barking.......drooling started. Dripping so at 10:30 gave her cerenia...which helped before....Slowed and with moving started again! Just gave a benadryl.
Is alert, active, and eating!!!
Have yet another appointment with a breeder/vet at the same clinic now on Friday to see other options then endoscopy. Ideas?????
Lots of good thoughts needed.....
Started about a year ago....went months between but now close together....this is the longest time. She drinks water....eats....rests....runs ...etc!!! Just drips. Drips enough that she coughs sometimes!
Frustrating! You've probably already seen this page but just in case you hadn't I thought I would post it. It offers a pretty extensive list of possible causes. Hope you figure it out.

Hope you get an answer as to what is causing this xx
The only sign she shows is the drooling!!! All else is normal!!
Has had blood tests.....might repeat! Will talk to vet again on Friday!!! Never had anything like this before...and she was fine til this started!! Been the healthiest of all the pugs so far!
Thinking xrays maybe Fri and then ultra sound. Hoping no endoscopy. There is one vet there that has done a lot of them...so he would do that. I trust him!
Also have gone to the holistic vet....she's on 2 different chinese herbs! Just called holistic....cuz realized that it started more after adding the second herb. Stopping that .......ugh!!!!

Februrary 11, 2005 to May 10, 2020. Miss you, sweet boy!
My brothers golden retriever was drooling a lot. The vet had a look at his teeth way in the back and discovered a piece of plastic from a water bottle was stuck in between his back molars. Just a thought.
And a word of advise, don't let your dogs chew on plastic bottles.

I have had 4 vets look at her mouth! The holistic vet had a hold of her tongue too.......She doesn't chew much ...sometimes a bully stick...but we thought bully sticks might be causing it! Not so!!!!
I have a feeling that she gets wound up...and then it starts and she cannot stop it! But have to get to the root of it if I can as she's had all I have here and is still dripping. Coughing on it sometimes.
Prayers you find the cause.

What sort of water and food dishes do you use? Metal or clay or plastic? Allergy? Reaction to whatever is in the water or the soap you use to wash the bowls? If she grooms the other people, what sort of soap and or conditioner is she picking up from their fur?
Praying you can find the answer to this.
