I wish this were a better update, that we went and that she's home. She's not, she's much the same. Though, they've significantly stepped up her pain medication, so she's only shivering a little bit, and is nearly completely limp. She's still throwing up. She's still in incredible discomfort.
I've passed on all the thoughts here to the vet, thank you for them. They've now scheduled her for an ultrasound and a set of x-rays to see what they can see, and they'll call us back.
At this point, we don't really know the prognosis anymore. The vet has become guarded, indicating that she'll say when there's more tests.
Horrendous. So worrying. The vets must throw every diagnostic at their disposal at this quickly now. I hope they find out what they need to treat and start getting on with it. I know what this kind of thing feels like and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Continued good wishes coming your way x

Oh. Now I'm very sad this morning. Poor little girl. I'm glad she seems a little more pain free at least. I was so hoping she'd be recovering at home today. Action stations at the vet I guess for ideas and a prompt diagnosis!

And now mummy to puppy Charlie too! Who said pugs are addictive?! :)
That is the plan. If neither x-ray nor ultrasound shows anything they have an MRI machine there too, and the blood work from yesterday will have arrived by now.
It's bizarre, seeing little Talos like this - completely limp, lifting her head a little bit to look around but generally uninterested in everything. I forget how small she is, because she's so much bigger than the size of her body normally, but guys... she's so small.
Ok. I'm having some tea and cuddling up to my phone waiting for news.
Nothing on the x-rays or on the sonar. Bloodwork shows all normal - not pancreatitis. So what the heck is going on? In a sense, this is very good news. But it's also really frustrating news, since she is really sick. Still throwing up. Still trembling and very weak.
So I guess the next step is...? She has some fecal matter in her colon, they're going to give her strong laxatives to have that pass in case this is the world's worst case of constipation, and if that still doesn't fix it we'll do a whole body MRI. As the vet says though, what are they looking for? No signs of snake or spider bite.
Hoping she poops, and all is well.
