Default Some införmation on CBD oil

Here is a link to an article on CBD oil,

    https://www.whole-dog-journal.com/care/know-your-cbds/

I found this very interesting I have not given it to any pugs but have thought about it for their arthritis.

The earliest was published in January 2018 in Frontiers in Veterinary Medicine and evaluated the oral pharmacokinetics, safety, and efficacy of CBD oil. The results showed that CBD in the concentrations used appeared safe, well-tolerated, and to decrease pain associated with osteoarthritis. Serum alkaline phosphatase, a liver value (SAP or ALP) was noted to increase, but this is not uncommon with many drugs, including phenobarbital and prednisone. This is called liver induction and can occur with drugs that rely heavily on liver metabolism. The significance of this finding is not known.

    Thank you for sharing!

In the U.K. however cannabis is still an illegal drug, so I’d suspect what is being legally sold as CBD oil here is probably substantially different to what you can obtain in the states where it is legal.

So I’d suggest that turmeric (I think sometimes sold as ‘golden paste’) is an alternative worth looking at. Speaking from a personal point of view it’s been nothing short of miraculous for me. The chronic pain I was in from osteoarthritis in my hip was almost completely gone within just four hours of taking a turmeric and black pepper capsule. I’m now able to live a fully active and pain free life again, so it’s something I’ll definitely look into for my dogs should they have an issue in later life.

Just now needing to try the CBD for our BabyGirl; she's 8 and at some point injured her rear ankle. Vet said it was an old injury but she had never shown any symptoms of pain until recently. She can't take steroids of any form. Supplements and inflammation meds do nothing. How did the CBD oil work for you? Thank you!!!
