Poor fella. Tonka had frequent eye scratches. He had the condition where the eyelid rolls in/the little hairs irritate and sometimes scratch the cornea, it wasn't really something you could look at and see but when we had a little surgical procedure to laser the hair off he never had another scratch on his eye after that.

Have the vet check the inside of his eyelid....might be a hair or two growing where it shouldn't be toward the eye!

Also.....a wise vet told me years and years ago to put Genteal gel...into a pug's eye at least once a day...twice is better! Due to the nature of the shape of the pug's eye....keeping it well lubricated will help deter injuries and help with eye health in general.

Seeing all going well and a good healing!

Hope he's better soon. I second the advice to use lubricating gel if you don't already. Our vet particularly advised us to use it just before going on a walk if the weather was windy as it helps to flush out any grit that blows in there before it causes a scratch.
