    DefaultLump on pug’s leg

Hi there! I was snuggling with my pug George (4 year old male) yesterday and noticed a decent sized lump on the back of his rear leg. The lump is new, somewhat soft to touch and moves underneath the skin. Doesn’t seem to bother him at all and his demeanour has not changed. I’m looking for others experiences when it comes to lipoma vs mast cell tumor. I will
Be calling the vet in the morning to make an appointment but i worry with the state of the world we will have a hard time getting him in. Any insight or experiences
    Would be much appreciated

    This is Sienna's second MCT.

"Dog lipomas are soft masses that grow under the skin. The fatty tumors are often movable, not painful to the touch, and seem unattached to the muscle underneath or skin above. " https://www.certapet.com/dog-lipoma/

Well the vet did a fine needle biopsy and given the location he thinks it has the potential to be lymphoma. I am devastated I truly hope this is not the case

So very sorry that it's potentially lymphoma. I hope you are able to get more information and a diagnosis soon. Sending you positive vibes and best wishes for George.

I'm so sorry......maybe it won't be that though, so I'm sending along tons of positive thoughts & prayers that it will turn out to be something else! Something easily treated & resolved! Please keep us posted! What is the next step?

The vet said the results from the needle aspiration will take about 48 hrs. In the meantime they are treating him for a possible ear infection which might be the cause of enlarged lymph node and starting an anti inflammatory. He doesn’t appear sick at all but who really knows at this point. Such a stressful time
