what do you all recommend for keeping your dog secure and safe in the car? I get overwhelmed when I see al the choices so thought I would go to the experts!
Both Wonka and Beanie have carseat boxes they ride in. We also use one of those special dog seatbelts, it also turns into a leash, but I've never used it for that. I'll have to check on the brand later, but it might be kurgo? Can't remember for certain.
I would say the safest option is a crate that is securely attached to the floor or seat. Unfortunately my two don't want to ride nicely in a crate, but they like the open-topped car seat boxes well enough.

It locks with the seat belt and then you buckle to your harness . And Bruno is taking all space usually

I love the backseat carseat-I have used one for 15 yrs-first a double wide for the two boys and now a single wide for Odie-BUT he does not like to ride in it even though it lets him look out the window! He would rather stand up in the back seat! Silly boy!!!
Dixie rides in the backseat harnessed and buckled with one of those seatbelts that goes in the car seat belt.
