We will all be "waiting" along with you! I know my vet has used something called "Iso" when anesthetizing my Pugs--apparently it can be reversed quickly. We will be thinking of you & Pepper!

Thinking of you and Pepper and wishing her a safe and successful dental. It's always worrying when we have to put our babies under anesthesia. I hope your vet is able to answer all your questions and reassure you that they have good options to help Pepper do well during the procedure.

Thank you everyone! I knew the village would understand. I'll keep you posted. I already put in a request to work from home that day. I'll be waiting on pins and needles for my girl!

Hello pug family! Pepper is at the vet now getting her dental. I cried when they took her to the back and cried the whole time driving home. I'm sure I'm just being paranoid, but I know you all can understand. I just love her so much and I would feel so awful if she didn't wake up. She was so happy and wagging her tail this morning.

They just called to inform me that they need to extract 7-10 teeth and she is doing well, so far. I feel so bad for delaying this for so long. I'm sitting at home with my phone in hand anxiously awaiting updates. Everytime they call me my heart panics a little hoping it is not bad news. I can't wait to have her back home. I won't be able to relax until she's back home with me.

She will be back in your arms soon and you will shedding more tears on your drive home. I think we all have Pugs with teeth being lost at dentals - it’s a pug thing. Make sure if you feed kibble to flood it 1/2 prior to feeding with warm water or get some cans from the vet. If she got stitches she will need to stay calm for a few days up to a week. Let us know when you get back .

Praying you have heard good news by now and you can pick her up very soon and head home with your precious girl.

She is out of surgery and in recovery. She's already been extubated. They are keeping an eye on her to make sure she doesn't have any reactions. It's been a little over an hour since that call, and I haven't received another call so I'm assuming no news in good news. They told me I could pick her up after 3:30PM which is another 2 hours from now. I will be there right at 3:30PM with bells on! hahaha.

Great update to read. I will be praying for her recovery. Pug hugs to you - I know it's been a stressful day.
