Please cross your fingers for Mouse

Just got home from work and Mouse's pedicle flap thingie is hanging out of his eye. I (as usual) am completely freaked out. I rang the specialist who did the surgery last week and she said "Tara..Tara..don't panic, it looked really good yesterday, just bring him in tomorrow morning and I'll re-attach it".
WHAT! I've just begged and she said it's completely ok and he will be fine even though I can see the hole. OMG so I have taken his cone off and now there is blood on his neck where maybe he was trying to get it off this afternoon. On top of that he's been licking his feet like mad and I can see bites in between his toes....ARGHHH
AND Monkey is going nuts and bringing all the stones in from the garden because nobody will play with him.
Please cross everything tomorrow as he get's put under again for more surgery. Poor wee Mouse is just so sad.

Brew some tea and take a deep breath. There. Now find a game to play with one of the little men and reassure the Mouse that things are looking up. I so wish I lived next door so I could babysit for you. Please keep us in the loop, always check my pm if you need to vent. Paws and claws crossed for a good outcome here.

Oh Tara, this sounds just ghastly.....Poor dear boy.... you must be fraught with worry.

Can he close his eye? Will be be able to rest overnight? I imagine he is nibbling his toes because of his frustration at not being able to get to his eye. I don't know what to suggest except a bandage round his feet or Bitter Apply sprayed on a cloth and then wiped over his feet.

I am thinking of you at this horrible time. Please let us know how it goes tomorrow, I will be anxiously awaiting to hear.....

Gosh, that sounds terrible but if the doctor said it will be ok until tomorrow I wouldn't freak out too much.

Thanks guys. They're actually bites between his toes but I have put some tea tree spray on them and he's leaving them alone for now. He can close his eye but the flap is sticking out and it's obviously uncomfortable cause he's squinting and fidgety. I've given him some metacam and he's just laying on my lap. I've now just had to dig a toy rabbits eye out of Monkey's mouth because I wasn't watching him...
Oh yeah and now work have called me back and kicked off at me because I won't be in tomorrow because I spent a few days with Mouse already last week...
