    Default How often do you bathe your pug?

    Sunny is incredibly stinky. Stinkier than my first pug. My other family members are shocked at how she smells sometimes, even just a week after getting a professional bath! I'm just wondering how often everyone bathes their pugs, especially during the wintertime when it's cold and dry!

    I don't really have a set schedule for bathing my guys but it's usually less in the winter time, but I would say whenever they start getting stinky or their coats just feel dirty then we head for the tub! I always use a gentle shampoo so their skin doesn't dry out ( ;

    We bathe Ana and Aubrey (7 months old) once a week. Our vet actually said that was fine. We use Buddy Wash (which is WONDERFUL!) and both have a serving of The Missing Link and Fish Oil every day, which keeps their fur GORGEOUS--VERY shiny and soft. BTW, they are black pugs.

    I bathe when they seem dirty, about once a month in the winter, more in the summer, maybe every other week.
    In the winter my puggies get cold after their bath, I try to keep them warm, put the fire on and get the house up to about 78, but i worry they may get sick.

    I bathe my pugs "when they stink" IE when they roll in something gross in our yard... And if we are having flea issues, we bathe at least once a week to keep them down til we can get rid of them.

    I bathe my dogs once a month. That seems to work fine with us. If your pug is really stinky, you might check to make sure she doesn't have some type of yeast infection.

    Princess, here. We are children of nature and prefer to run nekkid and bathe on the 'whenever' schedule.

    As little as possible. I agree that it is worth checking whether there is some yeast infection. Mine probably get bathed twice a year on average; they don't smell (apart from their frito feet) and their coats are in lovely condition.

    Squig stinks like a chimpanzee toilet lol he has really gungy ears and gets infected in his wrinkle, he doesn't have a yeast infection or anything like that he's just a very gungy dog. I clean his face & ears every day. Pickle gets 'fishy butt' about twice a month. I am still trying to successfully express her anal glands but not doing very well as the vet charges me £30 to go and get this done. So I have smelly dogs. I bath them probably twice a year, bathing wouldn't make any difference to their smells as the odours aren't bath related. If they lived in the forest (or wherever wild pugs would live lol) they would never take a bath :D

    Oooh, just imagine a forest of wild pugs. I would be there immediately.
