to be honest....only one of mine here loves the lap and that is Max. Max will jump on my lap and stay there forever if he could ...he loves to held and so on.
Zeena I bet she has sat on a my lap only a few times....in 3 years..she is close but not on my lap.
Zeus never goes on my lap for ANY reason...he is close too..but not on the lap
I thought most pugs were lapdogs and from seeing many of them on this board I bet I have 2 of the few that do not like to sit on my lap..
is your pug a lapdog?
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
Whiskey is definitely a lap dog. He prefers my lap on the couch, but if he has to he will take a lap in a computer chair, hes starting to get bigger and he likes to stretch out, so sometimes he will sleep in his bed if im at the computer, but if i even walk near the couch hes following and hopping up on there, waiting for a lap.

LOL. Lap dog hardly begins to describe Joy! If she had her way, I'd do nothing all day, every day, but make a lap for her! No lap? Feet will do in a pinch!

actually they were more as lapdogs when they were tiny...but sure are not here anymore but Max.
my feet work in a pinch too..lol some reason they love to lay on my feet..
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
Dumpling is a touching dog...she needs to be touching someone if they are sitting down. A lap will do, a place next to you on the couch, under the table at my feet...on my duaghters back if she is laying down on her belly....
Oh yes, Russell is a major lap dog. The second we sit (floor, couch, anywhere), he's wiggling his way onto our laps. I wouldn't trade it for anything, though!![]()
Momma to pug Russell and felines Kitty & Winston.
Both Boo and Diesel want to lay on top of you any chance they get. If you're sitting they're fighting for lap spaces, if your laying they're fighting for space anywhere on top of you.
Usually I have to make it fair and force them to both just have their head only on my lap lol
My MuShu is on my lap more in the last year or so. And now that she is getting more affectionate, she gets irritated with me and makes a "huff" noise when she has to get down off of my lap because I constantly get up and down. It is so funny! My first pug, Mugsy, had to be touching me somewhere at all times. I called him my symbiant being (not sure of the spelling of that) because I think he would have died without being on my lap or touching me at all times! I get the idea that most females are a bit more aloof and independent than the males, but I'm sure there are exceptions!

Toddy is a lap dog, Snifter is absolutely not. He likes to be close by my feet but will not sit on my lap. Or the sofa, for that matter. The only piece of furniture he likes to be on is the big bed.
Bella, mummy to Snifter and Toddy!

Pugsley demands to sit on my lap everywhere I go. He is DEFINITELY a lap dog!
