And we got a picture with him.
Sorry for the psyche, I just could not resist. The bear is Monte, the University of Montana mascot. He visited our little town this morning for a kids' event. My MIL was taking pictures of the kids, and we came across them and she took our picture. Not the greatest pic, I was trying to get every one posed and she snapped it.
Funny thing, the dane and Bella the pug LOVED him and the kids, whilst Cujo the chi was living up to his name and barking, even as I held him! It was just before dawn, hence the grainy image.
Well, I must admit I was worried for you, but this bear at least is something Cujo can handle.
Yes indeed. In all seriousness, a creek runs through the park, and a sow grizzly and her two cubs did wander through and knock over the garbage cans last year. It followed the creek out of town (it is a very small town) and into someone's chicken yard. They had a fine breakfast of fresh chicken, but were later trapped and moved for their troubles. Tons of bears in the towns this year, because the berry harvest was poor.
You had me scared! This bear looks pretty tame!

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should just relax and get used to the idea.
