We got Zoey's labs back. Her WBC's were through the roof normal is 4 - 15.5, she was 34.1. neutrophils were 28985 and normal is 2060-10600, monocytes were 1364 and normal is 0-840.

Her platelet count was also high at 859, normal is 170-400.

As for kidneys, her Creatinine was high at 3.0 (normal 0.5-1.6) and her BUN was 50 (normal 6-31).

Her T-3 was good, but the T-4 was low at 0.5 (normal 0.8-2.9), the free T-4 is still pending.

Her globulin, and lipase were a bit high, probably not significant and her Chloride and Na?K Ratio were a bit low, probably not enough to be a problem.

Her urine was perfect.

He said keep up the strong antibiotics and cross our fingers.

Fed by hand, spa treatment for breathing--I bet with the antibiotics that she is already turning the corner. She has a world of admirers.

How are her teeth? If she's got that high a white count and her urine is good then the infection is somewhere. If her teeth are abscessed that may also have something to do with her not eating to well. I have missed it if you already said her teeth were ok. Sending prayers for sweet Zoey to get to feeling better soon.

Well, she has a severe lung infection...and her teeth are rotten.

Unfortunately, she would not eat at all tonight, nothing, including her pills in the pill pocket. I even got my son to drive down to the McDonalds to get her chicken nuggets, but she would not touch them. Her breathing is really bad again too.

Wow that doesn't sound so good. Poor girl. Everyone is hoping and praying for her. Isure hope she is going to feel better really soon.

try the pill in a tiny hunk of butter. sometimes if Mz Tilly won't eat that is how I get the antacid into her. it also seems to kick start her and often within a little while she'll eat a little.
