Hello all!
I just wanted to add an update on how Nano is doing. His operation went well, he is all neutered and doing good. The only thing that wasn't 100% was that the vet wanted to take out three of his baby teeth that haven't come out on their own, that she said could cause trouble for him. So when she went to extract them, one came out good, but the other two broke off and left the root. She said his blood pressure was dropping, so they had to wake him up, and in a month or so she will see about putting him under again and getting the roots out.
Right now I am just soooo happy and relieved that he's back home. He is breaking my heart with his sad little whimpers, but his incision looks good, and he has only thrown up once, and it was just a little.
I'm trying to keep him quiet in his kennel, which is the biggest challenge right now. He wanted to play earlier, and almost jumped up on the couch! I hope he settles soon, and has a good sleep tonight. I'm not going to lie...i'm probably going to grab a blanket and a pillow and sleep beside his kennel tonight :p
Thank you so much for all of your encouragement and nice comments, it was a big help! I'm so glad that i've found this forum :)
I will update with pictures tomorrow! They are adorable, but fair warning that he has his big sad eyes on :)

I'm so glad he's home with you!!!!!
Your boy is a big boy!
Why did the vet think his pressure was dropping?????
Yes he's a big boy, he weighed in at 21.5 lbs today. The vet said he isn't overweight though, just 'big boned' :)
She didn't say explicitly the reason for the low blood pressure. She said that with any brachycephalic breed she doesn't like to keep them under long, due to breathing issues. She said his blood pressure was good before I came to get him though, and I will get them to check up on it again at his follow-up visit.
I felt so guilty when I picked him up that I bought him the biggest raw hide bone they had, and he's getting it as a present tomorrow :)

Had to chuckle at your sleeping by his kennel tonight. I would do the same thing. So glad he's home and even wanted to play too!![]()

Glad he's home and feeling OK. Wally's BP dropped too when he had his dental -- he would wake up so she would turn up the gas, and his BP would drop so she would turn it down, and he would wake up and give her the evil eye and wave his foot.... she said it was creepy. She said that some dogs just have a low threshold to work safely within.
