    Default dry cracked nose

Gordie's nose is getting crackly and dry looking on top.We have our humidifiers going, but winter gets the best of everyone's skin here in Michigan in the winter. I have tried plain vaseline and vaseline with coco butter. He just licks the majority of it off. I have seen a product called " Pug Butter" on Etsy.. very cute packaging but a little pricey. Any suggestions?

Coconut oil, vaseline, lanolin, snout snoother all work well, but they lick them all off....Dickson is requesting we try bacon grease for his nose!

You just have to re-apply frequently. Pug Butter is probably private labeled Snout Soother.

    Take care,

I use Bag Balm or Carmex on remy's nose. He has mild Collie Nose (Discoid Lupus Erythematosus) and his poor nose always looks so sore

Does this only happen in the winter? My first pug had a crusty nose and the vet told me to not only sooth it with 100% aloe vera gel, but that he needed healthy fat in his diet as a supplement of Omega3's. I give my MuShu sardines packed in water and that seems to do the trick too. Helps the paw pads and the skin in general.

I can think of a few humans who would love that as well. My nephew is so crazy for bacon that we found him some "Bacon Popcorn" and a "Bacon Air Freshener" as Christmas gifts and he was beyond thrilled. That boy would eat bacon for every meal if allowed.

And this would be wrong .... because>> Bacon makes everything better. Well, maybe not ice cream ... or cheerios ... or apple pie ...

mmmm bacon bacon....I smell bacon....wheres the bacon. Love the stuff

Wish I could help with the sore nose, but the suggestions of others are better than anything I have.

I like bacon just fine, in fact, I would probably eat bacon on chocolate, which I have seen available online!! But, I don't like it in the extreme way that my nephew likes bacon. While searching for my nephews gifts, we also came across bacon mints (eww!), bacon gum (Ick!) and bacon plush talking toys (I bet the pugs would love that!).

Penelope's nose isn't cracked, but it gets a bit dry. I bought Snout Soother and it has worked out great for her.
