Default SOME PUG names that we really LIKE...

was just thinking today saw a pug and his name is EV. I love that name..so suits him too.
I love the now Clancy for a pug too.......maybe next pug will be Clancy..lol
I love the name Rita for a female pug........
of course I have a special place for Zeus........the name totally suits him. I called him that since he had to have a strong name coming to live with 2 bulldogs of mine ..lol.
I do not believe in naming the next dog the same name as the dog before that.........though

any cool pug names that you like out there...
got some cool pug names on the board here too

Darjeeling would fit a black pug. Ariel and Taiping after the great tea clippers that ran a chain's length apart from China to England. Not that it matters much here, as no one except the well named Taco the Dim comes when called.

Ray was named after the boxers Sugar Ray Robinson and Leonhard. I got the idea of naming him after a boxer from a Pug forum, maybe this one, due to the Pug/pugilist tie in. Following this precedent, how about Laila for a girl, after Laila Ali? I sort of like the sound of it.

Chris, owned by Minni the diva, and "Sugar" Ray the ever hungry.
Ray has since crossed the bridge but stays forever in my heart. I love you, Boo Boo. Oscar Wilde Thang has joined the family.

My 2 year old named our pug Bebe, I think she really meant to call her Baby, but just Bebe comes out of her mouth. lol

Food wise....Sugar, Honey, Cupcake...but the hubby says no, not naming her after food. lol

Like the name Stella & Moe but IMO that's more for a bulldog.

Also wanted to name Bebe, Moochie or Smooches.
Not good at naming. My hubby never agrees on me with names. But my daughter keeps calling her Bebe, and that's the only one we agree on. lol

But I like a lot of the pugs' names on PV!

Our pug puppy is named Izzy, and I think the name suits her perfectly. Her full name is Izzy Mae Borden, after Lizzie Borden. What can I say, we love horror flicks and we're kind of morbid.

Some other good names for pugs I've heard are Matilda, Bruno, Zena and Molly.

I have way too many names that I like, but I can never tell what suits them until you meet them. A great example of that is my neighbour back home. She got this gorgeous golden retriever, and she had a list of names that she liked. Then the day came, and she went to pick him up, and she brought him home for us all to meet. She said 'His name is Fred.' We were all a little puzzled, because it was nothing like the other names she had picked out. But we started playing with him, and I swear, there is no other name out there that would suit him better. We told her that, and she just kept saying 'I told you, he IS a Fred' :)
