If I were you I would have the other dog destroyed. An innocent dog is not bait for a bad seed! I would do it for you, but I live in CT - too far away!

    Thanks guys.

My MIL wont be home til 6pm so Ill call and see how the little girl is doing. No Chance for her to come up here. We already have more pets than expected. And my MIL adores her and wont let her leave anyway.

And Im sure today since she will be thinking clearly she will be keeping them separated from now on. She was in shock and upset when I phoned her.

Marcus is still enraged. Good thing we live over 100 miles away or he would've offed Saydie last night.

Ill have too look on my old computer for a picture. Idk what happened to the ones on my phone.

I hope she's doing well, the poor thing. And I have to agree with everyone else, these dogs cannot live together. It will be a huge stress on Maddie and will wear her down emotionally and physically...and no matter how good intentions are accidents happen and there's no way to guarantee these dogs will never end up in the same room. I'm trying not to be judgmental, but if someone really loves Maddie they'll do what's best for her - not what's best for them (keeping her in a situation that's clearly unsafe just for the sake of memories).

I'm positive Maddie can not come here. Her and Ben don't get along and Ben is my #1 Priority.
Im calling now to see how shes doing.

So sorry for Maddie. I wish everyone involved the best and that decisions are made in the best interest of both dogs.

Please, someone must either take Maddie or Sadie. The girl I got Peaches from had a pug since her teen years. When she got married her hubby had a boxer. The dogs loved each other, slept together, ate together, played together for years. One day she came home from work to find her pug literally torn apart, dismembered, dead and blood all over the house and the boxer with blood all over his face, chest and paws. With bigs and littles it only takes one fight...and it's all over for the little.

Even if one of the dogs must be surrendered to rescue, their selfishness at wanting to keep both together is cruel to Maddie.

    Take care,
    Lisa

Maddie is doing well. Most of the swelling is gone and shes drinking and eating as much canned food as you give her. She will have x-rays done every 7 days until her little jaw is healed. But I cant find any of the pictures I had of her. I had some cute ones too. Shes all black with a white frosted face from age.

At my MIL house the 2 big dogs are kept separate from the little ones at all times unless someone is in the room. The morning of the attack Saydie was at the vet getting a blood panel done and they sedated her. She reacted bad to the sedation and it made her hyper sensitive. While this doesn't excuse what she did, it does shed a little more light on the whole situation.

My MIL is an excellent dog owner and has had pugs for well over 20 years. She knows her stuff and this was just a freak accident. Both dogs will stay where they are.

Also boxers are prone to dog aggression, so im not in the least bit shocked that happened.
