Ok you need to firstly find a decent vet and register your new puppy so you can go straight for a health check, a bed, blanket, feeding bowl, water bowl, feeding mat (pugs can be messy eaters!), proper fitting harness, leash, collar (to hold ID tags), a coat, soft brush, puppy shampoo, toys, decent food (higly recommend Raw feeding), crate, puppy seatbelt, puppy training treats, number of a decent trainer (training classes provide ideal early socialisation opportunities) plus lots of patience!

I have probably forgotten all sorts lol, I am sure between all of the answers you will get you will have it all covered.

Make sure your dishes are ceramic or stainless, not plastic. Chew toys, small Kongs for freezing treats.Baby gates or Xpen to keep him out of trouble and safe.

An emergency medical fund because more than likely you will need it at some point sooner than you think! Better to be prepared!

LOL Pips dragged both her water bowls on her food matt across the kitchen one day spilling all the water along the way. That was the end of the food matt.

I definitely agree with the pug health fund idea! Start that NOW! Also, get a good odor-killing disinfectant for accidents (no matter how potty trained they are, they usually tend to have a few accidents when they change environments for the first couple of days), if the scent is not gone then your pup will keep going on that same spot!
In addition to some of the stuff already mentioned: a clicker for training, at least 3 towels just for him/her (some for cleaning of the chin after meal times, a big one for when your pug comes home wet after rain or snow, and maybe a soft one for cleaning wrinkles if you don't wanna use baby wipes), a doggy water bottle to go (for walks), nail clipper, and (this is optional) some doggy stairs for the couch I suggest this because my little guy jumped off of the couch with no warning many times as a pup, you never know!

OH, and a Furminator does wonders! =)

    Best of luck!

I found microfiber towels for dogs and bought them they are great! They absorb so much water it is much better than the cotton ones (human kind!) They also have a cute bone on them just in case company is over

Don't forget to have her micro chipped and register it! I paid mine for life membership.

As for nails I purchased a Dremel (brand name) black and decker etc. make them too! I prefer to sand the nails versus clipping--had it done at the Pet center and loved the results then realized that at $11 US dollars times 3 pugs (at the time) buying one made a lot of sense since they need them done about every 2 weeks!

CAMERA!!! It is "mandatory" to post lot's of pictures
