Default EAT your Hearts out PV PUGS.....not sharing says MAX........lol PIC

I got this huge bone for the dogs to share.......that way each has its time in the kennel in peace and no squabbles. it also cuts down on the mess as well. just clean out the crate when they are all done with it...... every dog has it chance with the big bone.....
Sorry Max is blury......but he is using every PUGGIE MUSCLE to chew this thing.....hahaha

put it in the fridge at night time........to keep it ok as well
or I would have 4 dogs that would NEVER settle too....hahahaha

I'd be greatly concerned with a large bone. Those teeth can easily crack because those bones are designed to hold thousands of pounds.

What a good idea! Even if I hand out one extra, I've got to supervise a few miscreants for squabbles—so this is a great solution. Do they all sit around in a circle of jealousy while they wait their turn?

EmmaDemma, my experience is similar to Pat's Crew: they lose interest after they've gnawed most (or all) of the meat from the bone. My five pugs all gnaw on large beef rib bones, oxtails and round knucklebones with no problems. I think the smaller bones can be iffy because they actually eat them, but my two larger boys enjoy an occasional raw chicken thigh without a problem.

I've never once had a dog turned down a bone. Even if the meat was picked clean of it.

Either way, the way a dog "chews" to get the meat off can still risk a chipped tooth. I'd rather not take the risk of a potential vet visit.

well the answer to that is just try that........lol
the soon as they get near the dog with the bone .......the dog lets them know to back off
it has worked out great so far.............
with 4 dogs do not want to risk a squabble..........this way everyone is safe and the mess is way cut down too........
I just started to do this, with the large bone this year.....
instead of the butcher chopping them up in smaller ones......I just get him to leave it one large one.......
the pugs usually go in the crate first and the the bulldogs......the marrow is a bit harder to get out of it too and takes awhile to do it.....
Gus has fall asleep with the bone in his crate......lol
just got tired and went to sleep instead........

they all try to approach but soon give up on that idea......
I use a smaller crate for them too
I know the pugs can move the big bones around good
    the bulldogs do too......
the last bone did not get finished when I had to toss it out......
    they last forever this way...........

with 5 pugs I would be tryng this idea too.....

I have tried a pork hock one time.........just to have a good laugh at the dogs trying to eat it........it was a hoot.........nobody could figure it out very well but they had a great time trying........lol.

dogs can have raw bones they are in all raw diets........
I know lots of people that feed raw bones to their dogs
    not cooked at all
