Remy is almost a year old now and when he plays with Ellie or if he gets excited he nips her ankles and 'wheelbarrows' her by putting his head under her back end and lifting her up. Is this normal puppy play at this age? It seems a bit excessive to me and he is not a dominant dog so I don't get it. He just thinks its fun. I think he must be part herding dog !lol!![]()
Ya, it sounds like he is all pug lol. Toby used to grab Bella by the tail or back leg and try to pull her...that is, until she learned to put him in his place. Pug puppies can be pretty outrageous, but they do settle down with time![]()

Lol! I was hoping it was normal....it just seems so obnoxious. 8 ) Makes it hard for her to play because she's always being pushed/pulled around! Then again she makes up for it by humping him when she gets the chance!
thanks!
It's my GIRL who wheelbarrows the top dog boy at my house... I was told "the boys let the girls get away with everything"... perfectly normal...

|That's exactly what Lola do to Ozzy. Then grab his tail and shake him like a rag doll and drag him around the house. He would look so sad and try and run away and hide on my lap or behind me. I was always rescuing him from Lola!

IT Is Pru that nip the pugs in the back of the legs and wheelbarrows everyone here too
even seniors can do that.....
I think it is a diva thing.....lol
playing is all Pru is doing......it usually starts a good pugtona and her in tow does the bullog turbo mode..lol
dogs seem to play rough but if someone does get a bit rough....they can ALL speak their minds about that....and it ends..
you shoud hear them growl when they are all playing here together.......
unreal the noise they can make just having fun
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
Yep, Ducky still does that and he's almost 6!
Too funny! Someone needs to tell these Pugs that they aren't herding dogs!![]()
I was thinking herding dog behaviour too! Had a corgi that would do that to boss around our boston terrier and the grankids. Never made contact with the kids ankles but would use her snout to herd them around!
