What spectacular pix! I'm a midcentury modern architecture nut, and I've never seen the Beehive before — I LOVE it! The public art too. Looks like a wonderful place to live.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder! The Beehive is certainly controversial and most people have a firm view one way or another. There is some lovely architecture in Wellington, particularly from the 20s onwards. Our little villa is Edwardian, dating from 1906, which is pretty old by NZ standards!

Thank you for taking FP on a tour of your country, it is absolutely breathtaking, the summer of 2013 I met a family from NZ, loved their accent, at a car (corvette)judging event here in Virginia and they brought two of their cars, and purchased another one here to take home. It was quite a trip for the, as you can only imagine.

I only wish I'd been able to show FP more of the country, he's really seen a mere corner. But hopefully he's enjoyed what he's seen.

I can't begin to imagine the import duty on the Kiwis Corvette!
