    Default Tomatoe Fiends

So the lovely tomatoe plants are at the end of life this year, a few small but still tasty ones where found yesterday. I was cutting them up when a slice hit the floor Sissi had it in a second! Meelah then wanted to try so gave her a sliver, Angus spit his out!

Seems the small ones on the bottom of the vine where a special treat for Sissi and Meelah is just a copy Pug.

I thought about cutting the plants down to 2 feet tall and seeing if they would generate more limbs for fall tomatoes but honestly they did so well this year I got tired of dealing with them!

They don't eat other vegetables so I find tomatoes a surprise. Sissi will eat an occasional baby carrot but this is the first I notice tomatoes.

I once dropped a cherry tomato on the floor and Doug played with it for 5 minutes before realising you could eat it! He'd pick it up in his teeth, drop it, stare at it and repeat

Our tomatoes were a bumper crop as well this year! Thankfully Wasabi had no interest in those but the poor squash and cucumber......I had a lot of cucumbers but the damn dog ate every darn one! Oh and a pimento pepper as well.....next year he gets his own bunch of plants!

    Too cute!
Miss Nilla doesn't touch them, but Wonka picks cherry tomatoes right off the plant! When they are ripe, we're constantly shoo-ing him out of the tomatoes!

I thought Sissi was searching for cat poo but turns out the wormy tomatoes are OK to eat if you are a Pug!

I didn't get to eat one cucumber this year, they had a worm in them and even cutting off the end on one it still had a very sharp taste so I didn't eat them. Next year I will go for a different kind, I tried not to put chemicals on them but even the soap didn't stop them they were inside as soon as it started the little spike.

I had so many tomatoes I sold them at the corner store!

all the veggies are a hit here with all the dogs to be honest
you name it .....they eat it
not allowed onions but the rest they all love

when Pru had to have veggies and fruits added to help her reduce weight fast
I put a bunch of different type of them on a plate that I had in the fridge
if I ate them........the dogs ate them......lol seems they want what you have...
I did this with different fruits and different veggies

even Coco eats raw veggies too
I think it is a good thing to start as a pup to get used to them
but in Pru's case it shows even old dogs can learn new tricks...lol

tomatoes are done here in the grocery store for the outside tomato not just the greenhouse are left..........
I go through tons of baskets of the outside tomato off the vine in the summer but seldom eat them in the winter due to the cost of them

cucumbers are a hit here with the all the dogs.........big time
    small carrots
broccoli and cauliflower and you name it they like it
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
