My pics were not very good. The release was attended by more than 400 people, it was packed! I got these from the aquarium, They are much better than mine. First is Crab who you already met from my first pics!
Next is Sea Biscuit
Last is Augie. Augie had been with us for 2 years. He had a fractured flipper from a boat propeller. The North Carolina State University, Center for Marine Sciences and Technology made a splint for him from a 3-D printer. As you can see it worked well and he is on his way!
Here's what the splint looked like on.
This was so much fun watching these guys go back to the sea. As soon as they had them out of their carriers and they could see and hear the ocean their flippers were swimming in the air!

Godspeed, Crab, Sea Biscuit and Augie - may you lead long and healthy lives. Wonderful photos and a great job by so many to get these beautiful creatures back where they belong.
We never touch people so lightly that we don't leave a trace.
What a wonderful experience! Hope they live long happy lives.
