Hi everyone
This past winter was one of the worse of my life. Penny lost a lot of fur and had her tummy turn black from chemo. It was one of the coldest winter on record. Weekly vets and hospital visits for me post my operation made us both week. Holidays were not great but we survived. We have been slowly improving and Penny had another check up today. She is still seeing the Oncologist monthly. She's still on benadryl 2 pills a day and on H2 blocker. Dr says we can stop the last one if we want just not sure. We're so scared still as she was quite not herself and I've been so sick and have had broken foot and hand to boot that we just aren't feeling good enough to make the choice. We hope everyone has had a great few months. Now that our health is improving I'm hoping to catch up on everything

I'm so sorry you've had such a rough go of it. Wishing you & Penny better, healthier, happier days ahead!
Hope things turn around for you both! Being "laid up" is the pits! You want something done and can't seem to get anyone else to do it like you want! My pool is a shambles and now I get calls for renting the studio!

Thanks everyone. I've started a new med to try and help my health improve. Penny has just started to shed after having lost most of her coat during chemo. We've been invited to walk in an event to end canine cancer in September. Hubby would have to do it as I am not able to do the long walk. Dr said he thinks Penny should be able to do it depending on next months check up. Money raised will go to find research so that hopefully Canada will get the equipment to do a proliferation panel so we don't have to send to Michigan or California. That delayed her chemo by two weeks according to Oncologist. Do you think you would walk your dog in it?

So nice to see you back! I'm so sorry that you & Penny are having such a rough time! What about Penny riding in a buggy or some sort of wagon for the walk? Maybe you or a friend could meet them at a certain point on the walk & if it seems that Penny is getting too tired, you or the friend could take her then & let hubby continue the walk......
