    Default The Moonwalk

Natasha (my little pug girl, who's 1.5 years old) has a weird thing that she does after pooing.

She does this little moon-walk/runningman/foot shuffle thing, like she's wiping her paws. Its hilarious because she looks right in my eyes while doing it, and she gets very very into it as well.

Its only three wipes, then she's fine.

    Anyone elses pug do this?

    Hey Ethan,

Sally does this too, and I assume it's to "cover what she's done"....you know, like a cat does in a litterbox. Of course, she doesn't cover it whatsoever, and usually ends up kicking her mess. It's pretty funny.

OtisPug does this, sometimes. No really rhyme or reason. It's funny though. Is it a way of marking?

I love it when Boris does it! He looks so serious. And he looks right at us too, but I assume it's because he's looking for his treat!

Meelah does something like this sometimes. She would kick her back feet back which in turn kicks up some grass. She used to do it more when she was done going potty, but now she seems to do it when she hears or sees someone or something while she is out. Like she is being a little tough dog or something. It is so funny when she "barks" and growls and kicks up the grass. Everyone just laughs. I put the "bark" in quotes because she doesn't have much of a bark. It is more of just a growl. A very quiet bark, I guess.

Yes, it is a way of marking, at least the hind leg kicking.
They are trying to leave the scent from their paws on the ground.

Oscar usually does it & its especially great on mulch near a parked car on the street!! I'm always hoping the owner of the car isnt around!

Jasmine does this all the time too! Although it is not funny when she turns and rips up the grass and dirt in your face!

Paddy does it too, but I think the circles are funnier. Does anybody else's puggie stop making circles if there's an unusual noise or movement?

Boris does that too. He's so easily distracted.
