Hard to believe my little girl will be 6mths old this week...it went so fast. We got her this food dispenser to slow down her eating and stimulate her mind, she had it mastered in less than a minute! You ca t get much past this little one but it does slow her down a bit.
She graduated from puppy class last week
And this is her face when I to,d her she has an appt to get spayed this week....yes I will be a wreck on Wednesday!

Awww! Such lovely photos of her there!
There’s no point in saying “don’t worry” about the spaying as you will anyway! Just the obvious check that the Vet doing the surgery is fully informed and experienced with flat faced breeds. I was allowed to collect Xanthe a couple of hours after the op as soon as she was conscious enough to walk since that Vet felt that pugs do far better going home to their own beds to sleep it off. You honestly wouldn’t have known Xanthe had had an operation the next morning, so I did have to keep a close eye on her to ensure no jumping on and off sofas!
Keep us posted!

she is an absolutely perfect lady. my own perfect lady, cocoa, is snoring in a most unladylike fashion right next to me. it's okay, though, as its rainy and that is what we do on a good nap on a rainy day!
i was a total mess when cocoa got spayed. sigh. i will embarrass myself saying this, but my husband had to help me out of the vet's office i was crying so hard. cocoa sleeps with my daughter now, but up until that time, cocoa had slept in bed with me right next to my tummy for every night of her life. i felt her loss so keenly that night, and the next day i was a grumpy, angry, shouting mess because i could not process the stress. she was fine, came through it like a champ, and the whole vet clinic laughed at me (nicely) because of my antics. i can't help it though.
so, we know what you are going through. we'll start thinking good thoughts now for your baby. our vet was great, but my concern was that cocoa would feel she'd been abandoned, and i simply couldn't stand the thought of her feeling that way. biscuit will be neutered in two months' time, so i'll be crying on this forum when that happens.
